First we need to make some HSTs:

Make 8 HSTs out of color #1 and color #2. Trim them up to be 3″ square. Mine looked like this:

Now make 12 HSTs using Color #1 and your background fabric. Trim them up to be 3″ square as well. Mine looked like this:

Lastly, make 12 HSTs using Color #2 and your background fabric and square them up to 3″ also. Mine looked like this:

Now, sew two of the triangles that you got when you cut the 3″ squares of your background fabric in half diagonally together so that they look like this:

Make two of these.
